Base-Quote Clause

> Supplier shall price the base configuration in the controlling RFQ revision. A proposed alternative shall be returned as a separate option and shall not replace the compliant base-price line. Each proposed change to material, process, geometry, abrasive interface, angle mechanism, artwork process, or inspection method shall be entered in the deviation register with its recurring price, non-recurring price, and lead-time effect.

Control Artwork as a Production Requirement

Define what each approval authorizes. Unless the buyer states otherwise, digital-layout approval should not release substrate appearance, physical process output, or permanence.

Tie artwork placement to product datums rather than an uncontrolled rendering. Require written approval before changing the substrate, coating, ink, marking equipment, fixture, artwork file, or process route. Keep artwork scrap, rework, and replacement treatment visible in the commercial response.

Define Tolerances as a Measurement Contract

For angle control, identify where the reading is taken on the abrasive carrier and how the blade-reference datum is established. Treat scale increment, measured accuracy, and reset repeatability as separate quote and report fields.
