Place every unresolved input in an open-input register. A bidder may propose an alternative, but the response must identify its effect on geometry, artwork, tooling, samples, validation, cost, and approval timing. Do not authorize production tooling while a fit-critical input or structural interface remains an undocumented assumption.

The bidder should propose and justify the sample quantity for each gate. Every sample must be identified as a design mock-up, tooling sample, production-intent sample, validation sample, or retained reference. A sample category must not be substituted without disclosure and buyer approval.

If the contract selects an applicable ISTA procedure or ASTM distribution-test method, identify the exact title, edition, conditioning, sequence, sample handling, reporting requirements, and deviations in the contractual documents.
